Work, study and next steps

A job, a course, your licence, or a plan for what’s next. A mentor works on it with you, for as long as it helps.

Free, private, no appointment

What we do

  • A résumé and cover letter that sound like you
  • Practice for interviews, and something to wear to them
  • Find a course, TAFE or training, and help with the costs
  • Help to meet your mutual obligations

Before you come

What to bring

  • Any résumé or certificates you have
  • Your myGov login, if you have one

Starting from nothing is fine. Most people do.

Questions people ask

Is this a job agency?

No. We don’t report on you to anyone. But we can help you with what Workforce Australia or your provider asks of you.

How long can I see a mentor?

For as long as it helps. Some people meet a few times, some for a year or more.

Does it cost anything?

No. Mentoring is free, always.

Not sure? Just come in.

Tell us what’s going on, in your own words. If it’s more than one thing, that’s normal. We’ll work it out together.
