Questions people ask
I’ve got a notice to leave. What do I do?
Come in as soon as you can and bring the notice. There are rules about how and when a landlord can end a lease, and a notice isn’t always valid. We’ll help you get free advice from Tenants Queensland.
Can you pay my rent?
Sometimes. More often we help you apply for rent help, and work out a plan with your landlord that you can keep to.
Will my landlord find out I came here?
No, not unless you want them to. We only contact your landlord with your permission.
Not sure? Just come in.
Tell us what’s going on, in your own words. If it’s more than one thing, that’s normal. We’ll work it out together.
